Courses
The WEA offers a wide range
of courses in Essex. Our tutors have great enthusiasm
and often have years of experience in teaching or
researching their subject.
The WEA is non-political and non-sectarian. What
brings people together is the wish to further their
knowledge in their particular choice of subject
in a friendly, informal atmosphere. Opportunities
for further research and in-depth study are always
available but no written work is required during
the courses.
Tea and coffee is usually available during the session.
Contact the branch for more details about available
parking and disabled access.
Discounted fees are sometimes available - please
contact the branch to see whether you qualify.
You can search for a course using the Course Finder
to the right. To search for courses by branch click
here.
To search for courses
by postcode click here.
You will be taken to the national WEA site which
has full details of all our courses.
Please note that the "duration" of one
day courses includes a lunch break of up
to two hours. More information about one day courses
- including lunch arrangements - is available on
the One Day Courses page.

Notes
on searching
Areas: For convenience, we have sub-divided the county
into three areas - east, west and south. The map on the
Branches
page shows the boundaries of these areas.
Subjects: Courses may come up in more than one category
- e.g. local history courses will appear under 'history'
and 'local interest'. If you don't find a suitable course
at your first attempt, try a related subject for alternatives. |
