The Essex Federation
organise two Saturday events in the Autumn
and Spring at the Feering Community Centre

for a map). Three courses run throughout
the day on a variety of topics. In addition we organise a summer schools which run over three days in June/July. See details below.

Spring 2012 One Day School
The Essex Federation Spring One Day School will take place on Saturday 21st April 2012 at the Feering Community Centre from 11 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. The courses are listed below. Full booking details, with leaflet and booking form, will be posted on this site early in February.
Course Title: Four Queens and the Changing Constitution of Great Britain
Course Description: In this Jubilee year we study the reigns of four notable Queens, Elizabeth I, Anne, Victoria and Elizabeth II, in order to learn how and in what ways royal power has been eroded over four centuries.

Course Title: ONE DAY COURSE - "British Fashion 1960-2010: The Capsule Collection"
Course Description: In the world of fashion design, a 'capsule collection' is a small number of pieces which represent a designer's work for that season. In this three-hour scamper through the latter years of the 20th century, Irene Jacobson aims to provide a similar grasp of the world of British fashion design. Please bring along any original pieces of clothing which you feel typify that period.
